It is quite normal to have pain after dental procedures, especially following the removal of teeth, implant surgery, any procdure that involves cutting of the gum or stitches, root canal therapy, and even fillings and crowns.
The first thing to do is not panic.
It doesn't mean that there is an infection.
Pain always settles, although the time taken to do so can vary.
